About Us
Under the umbrella of the Department of Electrical Engineering, Techno College of Engineering, Agartala introduced the Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) programme in Electrical and Computer Engineering in the year 2021. The programme was initiated to meet the growing demand for engineers equipped with interdisciplinary knowledge spanning both electrical engineering and computer engineering domains.
The B.Tech in Electrical and Computer Engineering programme is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in electrical systems, electronics, and power engineering, complemented by core competencies in computer programming, embedded systems, data processing, and computational techniques. This integrated curriculum enables graduates to address contemporary engineering challenges arising from the convergence of electrical infrastructure and digital technologies.
The programme emphasizes theoretical understanding, practical skill development, and problem-solving ability, preparing students for diverse career opportunities in power utilities, automation, embedded systems, information technology, and emerging technology sectors, as well as for higher studies and research.
