Anti Ragging Committee
Ragging is a criminal offence as per the Supreme Court verdict and an an offence under penal code , which define ragging as:
Ragging is currently characterized as a demonstration that abuses or is seen to disregard a singular understudy’s nobility. Following Supreme Court orders, an Anti Ragging Helpline was sent off by the Indian government. In India, ragging frequently results in grave violations of human rights and clear abuses.
Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited at this institution, including in its departments, constituent units, and all of its buildings (academic, residential, sports, and campus cafeteria). Severe activity including however not restricted to criminal procedure or potentially abrogation of confirmation against those saw as at legitimate fault for ragging as well as of abetting ragging would lie on the culprit and not on the person in question. An offense of Ragging might be charged either on a composed grumbling by the impacted or on free finding of the Anti Ragging Committee.
RAGGING IS TOTALLY PROHIBITED IN AND OUTSIDE THE INSTITUTE AND ANYONE FOUND GUILTY OF RAGGING AND/OR ABATING RAGGING WHETHER ACTIVELY OR PASSIVELY IS LIABLE TO BE PUNISHED IN ACCORDANCE WITH PROVISION OF ANY PENAL LAW FOR THE TIME BEING IN FORCE.
