About Us

The department of Civil Engineering (CE), Techno College of Engineering, Agartala was established in 2014, the very same year of the inception of the college itself. For several years, the Civil Engineering department aims to provide quality education, research and professional experiences that enable its graduates to become leaders in their professional careers, to pursue excellence in research and to serve the profession, state and nation, and to be competitive in the international scenario. The department offers undergraduate and diploma courses affiliated by Tripura University, A central University, Suryamaninagar, approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), A statutory body under Ministry of Education, Govt. of India. The duration of an undergraduate B.Tech Engineering program is four (4) years. This program includes classroom learning, laboratory work, seminar, internship, project work and swayam courses. The intake capacity of the department as of the ongoing academic session 2025-26 is sixty (60). Besides the core Civil Engineering, the Institution also offers undergraduate program on an allied branch of Civil Engineering with computer applications (CECA) starting from the year 2020, which provides the opportunity for the aspirants to be able to learn the emerging technologies regarding Computer Science and Engineering parallel to the Civil Engineering under the same course. The intake capacity of the CECA department is Thirty (30) at present. The diploma course offers a duration of three (3) years with an intake capacity of sixty (60) in the department of Civil Engineering (Construction Technology) which was established in the year 2021. This program includes classroom learning, laboratory work, seminar, internship and project work.
